We come from backgrounds in construction and technology, where we faced long nights of expense reconciliation and struggled to keep projects on budget. Tired of the frustration, we built Asset Card to give businesses real-time expense tracking and control at the point of purchase.

Recognizing the urgent need for real-time expense tracking, we built Asset Card to eliminate manual accounting tasks by associating expenses with projects at the point of sale—ensuring better decision-making, budget control, and seamless project expense management.

Our founders come from a deep construction background, giving us firsthand insight into the financial challenges and constant changes of project-based work. Recognizing the urgent need for real-time expense tracking, we built Asset Card to eliminate manual accounting tasks by associating expenses with projects at the point of sale—ensuring better decision-making, budget control, and seamless project expense management.
Summer 2024
Building the Foundation
We spent this phase doing what mattered most — listening. We met with hundreds of project-based businesses, including general contractors, house flippers, event planners, property managers, and film production studios. By diving deep into their day-to-day challenges, we uncovered the friction points they face managing budgets, issuing payments, and keeping teams accountable. These insights directly shaped the core structure of Asset Card and helped us build a platform designed for real-world use.

Building the Foundation

We met with hundreds of project-based businesses, including general contractors, house flippers, event planners, property managers, and film production studios. Our team entered full build mode. With a clear product vision, we focused on engineering a system that is powerful yet easy to use. Alongside development, we welcomed a growing list of waitlist partners and began forming strategic relationships. These early adopters have helped shape our roadmap, and their feedback continues to guide what we build next.
